Philippines Unveils 14-Day Visa-Free Welcome for Indian Travelers

To stimulate tourism, which has seen dips from key sources like South Korea, the Philippines has implemented a new policy allowing Indians to enter visa-free for up to 14 days.

Individuals holding an Indian passport who possess a legitimate visa or residency permit from the U.S., U.K., Schengen Zone, Japan, Australia, or Canada can now enjoy visa-exempt travel to the Philippines for up to 14 days, according to an announcement made by the Philippine Bureau of Immigration, as noted in the report.

reported.

The data indicates that the number of tourists from India visiting the Philippines increased by more than 60% in 2024. Officials remain hopeful that the recently implemented visa-free entry will continue to boost this upward trend.

From January to April 2025, the Philippines saw 1.93 million tourists arriving in the country, marking a minor decline of 0.83% compared to the same period last year, as reported by the Department of Tourism.

South Korea
stayed the biggest contributor of incoming travelers with 468,000 visitors, although this marked a 18% decrease from the prior year.

Thailand and Malaysia have already eliminated visa requirements for Indian tourists.
