Hanoi’s Tourism Booms: Searches Spike 4,400% for National Day Holiday

Queries for accommodations in Hanoi jumped dramatically by 4,418% compared to last year for the forthcoming National Day holiday, positioning it as the top domestically sought-after location.

According to data provided by the online travel platform Agoda, which analyzed search activity between April 1 and May 20, 2025, for stays from August 30 to September 3, 2025, Nha Trang was placed at number two, succeeded by Da Nang, Dalat, and Vung Tau.

As visitors prepare to enjoy the national parade, fireworks, and celebrations, Hanoi’s appeal is growing, according to Agoda.

The city is preparing for a significant festival commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).

This year during holidays, Vietnam will get a four-day respite running from August 30th through September 2nd, encompassing a weekend period.

During the 80th National Day festivities in Hanoi, both the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security will arrange a military procession along with an inspection of troops.

Recently, Hanoi was listed as the 11th most popular tourist city globally in 2025, according to a ranking by a British publication.
