David Lynch Auction: Over 450 Personal Treasures Up for Grabs in International Edition (English)

It has almost been five months now.

now that we’ve lost acclaimed filmmaker David Lynch

And now, his collectibles are being sold at an auction.

Julien’s Auctions and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) have revealed the

David Lynch Collection

, which includes more than 450 items like Lynch’s vinyl collection, books, scripts, paintings, instruments and treasured movie collectables. Even some of his woodshop tools and accessories.

“Julien’s and TCM are proud to present this remarkable collection from one of the most celebrated directors in cinematic history, David Lynch, to the public for the very first time,” stated Catherine Williamson, who leads entertainment affairs at Julien’s Auctions, in a press statement.

These timeless treasures embodying David Lynch’s distinctive creative outlook, along with elements representing his interests—from his filmmaking seat to his coffee setup, guitars, music collection, and Twin Peaks-esque furnishings—are sourced straight from the abode of this innovative artist whose mysterious movies ignited our shared surrealist fantasies.

David Lynch’s director’s chair

The chair has his name engraved on the back in gold. As of this writing, the highest bid stands at $7,000.


The Dune production office uses a Moviola film viewer.

A vintage Moviola Midget utilized for inspecting 35mm film reels during the editing stage. Present bid stands at $1,250.


Twin Peaks’ Black Lodge theme featuring a red curtain and zigzag rug

Eager to create your very own Black Lodge? The current bid stands at $1,750.


Twin Peaks hand-drawn map

Discover the location described as “both wonderful and strange” using this map hand-drawn and autographed by David Lynch. The estimated price ranges from $40,000 to $60,000.


Mulholland Drive scripts

A set of three scripts from David Lynch’s neo-noir classic Mulholland Drive. The current bid stands at $2,250.


The live auction will take place on July 18th via Julien’s Auctions’ website and at their location in Gardena.
