Niraj Mamtora, who works as a director at Forum Insurance, has cautioned that not disclosing weight management medications when purchasing travel insurance might be regarded as a violation of the agreement.

The specialist mentioned that visitors might encounter ‘claim rejected’ and ‘policy terminated’ statuses if they fail to disclose their medications.
Niraj stated: “Keeping silent about your medications or health conditions is a risk that isn’t advisable. Failure to disclose this information can allow the insurance company to lawfully reject any claims, regardless of whether they appear connected.”
‘Travelers often realize too late that their insurance claims are denied, which leaves them without assistance and confronting possibly enormous expenses.’
The caution arises as the company notes an increasing tendency of individuals opting for weight-loss injections, which might further complicate insurance concerns.
Niraj recommended carrying a copy of your prescription or a physician’s letter while traveling with medications, and also suggested checking the regulations of your destination country concerning the importation of prescription drugs.
Keep in mind that insurance claims pertaining to undisclosed conditions or medications may be denied, even if the problem appears unconnected.
